The task
The region was launching a Centre of Unique Craft — a space for craftspeople, artists, designers and the creative industries of Tatarstan. A public project inside a competitive tender: the contractor has to understand how approvals work, handle a large number of participants and fit into a tight schedule. What was needed was not a brochure site but a digital platform with user roles, personal accounts and an administrative panel.
The idea
We took on design and overall management; development and business logic went to our partner Continental. It started with deep design work: the structure of the platform, the user scenarios, the composition of the sections, the roles and their permissions. In effect we helped the client finish writing the brief. The design system came first, and pages were assembled from ready components — which gave both speed and one visual language.
What we did
Planning and strategy. Platform structure, sections, user roles, CMS requirements. The brief written together with the client.
Design system. One visual language: components, palette, typography. Tatar ornament used as a cultural code in the graphics.
User scenarios. Three roles — administrators, residents, visitors. Each with its own screens and permissions.
Catalogue and workshops. Workshops, makers, objects, an event schedule, space rental, booking and payment.
Personal account. Tickets, applications and statuses for every role.
Results
- 2 months — from kick-off to platform
- 3 — user roles
- compliant — personal data handling
