The task
Mining apps usually look like instrument panels: numbers, charts and nothing worth returning for. Liqad wanted something else — a product where watching the process is interesting and a community forms around it.
The approach
We did not glue gamification on top; we built it into the design system. Rewards, progress and social mechanics are components with the same rights as cards and charts, which is why the game layer feels native rather than like a push-notification campaign.
What we did
App design. The product screens: process, statistics, controls.
Reward system. Progress and achievements worth coming back for.
Social layer. Friends and chats, so the community lives inside the product.
Personal account. Assets, rewards and settings in one place.
Design system. Game mechanics described as components — the product grows without losing coherence.
The result
- mining became interesting to watch
- social mechanics retain better than charts
- the project received a design award
